Set up in 2019, by Jonnie Grant (Producer & Musical Director), Scott Coltman (Producer & Director) & Dannielle Logan (Creative Consultant & Choreographer), BBD Productions works to produce accessible and enjoyable entertainment for all.

 

The company made their premier at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2019 with Big Band Does... Broadway which went on to sell out it's run after having sold 90% of their tickets for the full run before opening night. This particular production received many five star reviews and were firm favourites to return the following year.

Along with the rest of the world, BBD Productions had to adjust their way of working due to the Coronavirus pandemic and as such moved their work online. They started a YouTube channel where they post covers of songs and concerts in aid of charity, namely Acting for Others.  They set the channel up back in March 2020 with a cover of 'Light' from Next to Normal which starred the cast of their 2019 show and raised money for NHS Charities and Acting for Others. Following on the success of this cover, Coltman went on to produce concerts at Halloween, Christmas, Burn's Night & Valentine's Day all of which starred professional musical theatre performers from across the UK.

 

Like many others, the team at BBD Productions are ever hopeful of getting to return to theatre and live performances in the not so distant future but are currently finishing crafting the line up for the next Big Band Does... Broadway show which will make it's return to the Edinburgh Fringe bigger, better & bursting with more Broadway songs than before!
